According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the cemetery was founded in the beginning of the 19th century. It was partially demolished during WWII and after, but still operational today. Small fragments of bricks remain at the cemetery's entrance. There are no other traces of fencing left. There are around 500 gravestones. The 300 gravestones that remain are in relatively good condition. Some are located on the slopes between thick bushes.
