According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. It was established no later than the first half of the 20th century, as the earliest preserved tombstone dates to 1923. There are 19 gravestones, many of them are broken or not inscribed.

The cemetery is located at the north of Sokoliv. Driving from the village of Tenkovka to the village of Sokoliv, after you pass the Sokoliv Village signpost, drive 500m along the central road, turn right, continue for 250m, turn right, continue for 300m and then turn left, and then after 30m you will run into an abandoned building (hangar). 50m behind this building is the cemetery.
