According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the Jewish burials appeared here after the closing of the Jewish cemetery in 1976. The Jewish sector was established in the 1980s – 1990s. In the Jewish sector there are also Christian graves. The administration of the cemetery stated that the cemetery was originally intended to bury all peoples together, which was confirmed during a visit. There is only a small Jewish area in the Cemetery (not an entire sector), which is not fenced in any way. There are many Jewish graves scattered all around the cemetery in other sectors. Including a noticeable number of Jewish graves in sector 25, area 4. The large cemetery is located in the southwest of the city, by the Zahidne highway. The Jewish section is located in sector 48, area 3. There are around 80 gravestones.
