According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the cemetery was established between the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century. It is marked on the city plans of 1898. It was closed in 1954 and totally demolished in the 1960s. In the 1960s, a park named after L.V. Pisarzhevsky was created on the site. There are testimonies that it was decided to preserve the grave of L.V. Pisarzhevsky. In 2008, a memorial complex "Matseva" was planned on the site of the park. Now there is the territory of a park and a block of flats at 129B Kirov street at the site of the cemetery.
A memorial in honor of the Jewish cemetery has been erected on the territory of the park and renovation works are currently being carried out. It is fenced and it is temporarily impossible to access. There is also a cross on the territory of the park, not far from the Jewish memorial.
