Description

The monument is located at the killing site in Kamianky Village. It is two stone pylons sitting on a round base. Between pylons, there is a black marble plaque with Ukrainian, Yiddish, and Hebrew inscriptions. There is a Magen David and a three-branched menorah in the middle of the plaque between inscriptions.

Translation: To the memory of the / martyrs, who / were killed / by the / Nazis, may their names be obliterated, in camp / of Kamianka Tammuz 7, 5703 [=July 10, 1943] / May their souls be bound in the bundle of life

According to Tsal Kaplun Foundation, about 1,000 Jews were shot in the labor camp in the village of Kamyanka on July 10, 1943.

The monument was established in 1996. The monument was included to The List of Monuments of History of Local Significance by the Order of the Head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration no. 209 on May 26, 1997 ["Ternopilska oblast"].
