© Gross Family Collection, Photographer: Bar Hama, Ardon, -

The following description was prepared by William Gross:

This charming and attractive jug was finally proved to be a fake. Apparently made in Slovakia, it turns out that several different versions were made and found in the last fifteen years.  This one uses an inscription in Ukrainian as if the jug was made as a gift from a group of Klezmerim to a man in Tarnopol in Galicia in 1849.
