Satanow (1732-1804) was a Polish Jew born in Satanow (currently in the Ukraine) who travelled to Berlin in search of learning. He was both a traditional and westernized individual: one the one hand one of the greatest authorities on Jewish tradition and lore, and on the other a free-thinking philosopher, physicist, and poet.
Bound with another volume by Satanow, Siftei Rananot (Berlin, 1773), B.322
