The Torah pointer comprises an upper rectangular handle surmounting a pointed leaf-shaped bar, which tapers towards a pointer formed as a clenched hand with a straight index finger.

The handle consists of several rhomboid units separated by rectangular grooved rings. The central rhomboid unit is elongated and is almost oval, decorated with a zigzag pattern. A round loop, through which a ring is inserted, surmounts the handle.

The flat bar is shaped as an elongated pointed leaf. It is decorated with a scrolled branch with open flowers.

The back side is inscribed with a dedication, written in square linear letters and reads towards the handle (fig. 1):

"בעה"ו (בעזרת השם וישועתו) הקדיש לה'/ לישיבת הכהנים ה"ר (הרב) מוסה/ כהן הי"ו (ה' יחיהו ויזכהו) למנוחת אשתו/ מרת מסיעדה תנצב"ה (תהא נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים) אכי"ר (אמן כן יהי רצון)."

“With the Lord’s help and His salvation, dedicated to the Lord to the Cohanim’s Yeshiva, Rabbi Musa Cohen, may the Lord sustain him and grant him favour, for the repose of his wife, Mrs. Massiada, may her soul be bound in the bond of life, amen may it be His will.”

The bottom part is adorned with an open hand (hamsa), while the top is decorated with a foliate branch.
