Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah pointer
The silver torah pointer consists of a bar and a pointer.
The bar is divided into an upper arm and a forearm.
The upper arm is flat and bears squares and rectangles. The forearm is flat and tapering. It is surounded by a geometric frame and bears a dedicatory inscription. The forearm terminates with a clenched hand and a straight index finger. The dedicatory inscription on the forearm is engraved in linear zigzag letters, and reads towards the pointer, and reads:
קודש לה' לב'הכ'נ )לבית הכנסת( אוהבי ציון ## לע"נ )לעילוי נשמת( הבתולה אסתר טובי ז"ל שנפלה ## על קודשת ה'ב בקיוש בכ"א באדר תש"ז "
Dedicated to the Lord to the synagoge Ohavei Zion ## for the exaltation of the soul of (int.) the maiden Esther Tubi in blessed memory (int.), who died for ## on the 21th of Adar (5)707=1947"
