Sacred and Ritual Objects Plate, Second half of the 18th century - first half of the 19th century

Aaron as a High Priest, in crown and breastplate, holding incense censer, is depicted on the plate. His name "אהרן" is engraved below. Inscription "כתר כהונה" (Crown of Cehuna) appears on Aaron's head covering. The Priestly Blessing "יברכך ה' וישמרך, יאר יי פניו אליך ויחנך, ישא יי פניו אליך, וישם לך שלום" (Numbers 6.24-26: "[May] Adonai bless you, and guard you, [May] Adonai make His face shine unto you, and be gracious to you, [May] Adonai lift up His face unto you, and give to you peace) is written around the rim.
