Five men are represented standing together against the background of two ruined houses. They are shown to the waist. In the left part of the drawing a youth is represented. He stands frontally. His right hand is pressed to his breast, while the left one is streched rightwards as though in appeal. The youth, as well as other men, wears a long shirt with a belt and a round hat. A profile facing left is seen behind the youth. The other three men stand to the right. They are all shown in a three-quarter turn to the left. The hands of the first man, standing on the foreground, are folded. The second one has a wrinkled forehead. The fird does not wear a hat. The thin and sharp features of all the men are very similar. In the left corner one can see an unfinished drawing of the sixth head.
