The painting represents four man and one woman. A bust of a young man occupies the lower left corner. He wears a red shirt and a blueish triangular hat. His head is shown in a three-quarter turn to the right and he looks upwards. Two men of similar appearance are depicted to his right facing left. They both have broad faces with coarse features and wear peaked caps and shirts of light green and violet blue colors. The fourth man wearing a black bowler is depicted in the upper right corner. He faces left. The woman with thick blond hair and blue eyes is depicted to his left. She wears a red dress with a large decolletage. Her head is depicted in a three-quarter turn to the left. To her left several buildings of primitive geometrical forms are visible.
