The picture represents a scene of shooting of the Jews by the german soldiers during the World War II. On the foreground, to the left there is a shooting soldier. Further there the Jews with spades standing waist-deep in a ditch. On the front edge of the ditch there lies a killed boy. On the opposite side there is a kneeled woman with her hands spread out. In the distance, in the upper right part of the work there is a group of people beeing shooted. There is also another soldier. Two women with the children are mooving forward from the depths of the painting. Before them there are three people looking at the shooting soldier, a woman clasping her head with her hands, a young woman pressing herself to her husband and a small girl embracing her mother sitting on the ground. The human figures painted with black and white are placed against the background of the light blue sky and the yellow and grey ground.
