Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah finials
The rimon is made of silver and consists of a shaft, a body , a head and an apex.
The shaft is cylindrical and terminates with a wide ring. It is mounted over a tiered round base. The base is decorated by a banded, raised design of an ovulum motif.
The mushroom-like body consists of a concave body base and a domical cap, which is decorated with a raised band bearing an ovolum motif. Three bell-arms are applied to the cap's rim. The bell-arms carry jingles.
The head consists of two superimposed collars diminishing in volume. The rim of the lower collar is decorated with a raised band bearing ovulum motif.
The apex has an hemispheric form. On both rimonim the shaft is encircled by an inscription which is engraved and reads:
