Object Alone

The flat Rimon is in the shape of Star^of^David, is made of silver and consists of a shaft a body and a head.

A. The shaft is cylindrical and tapering. One of the shafts is decorated by a net of rhombus bearing a flower. The other shaft is decorated by winding striped of foliate and geometrical motif. The upper and lower borders are encirled by some bands of foliate and geometrical motif. The shaft is surmounted by a domed capitl with a wavy rim which is decorated by diagonal bands of various geometrical motif. The borders are encircled by a geometrical band. Thirty four chains hang around the capital and carry flattened and slit drop-shaped bells.

B. The body has the shape of a Star^of^David. A medallion in the center bears a dedicatory inscription which continues in a band encircling the medallion. The triangles of the body are decorated by floral motif.

C. The head is in the shape of a vertical bar which is decorated by a flower. A crescent is mounted over the bar and has two bells hanging at its ends. The crescent bears an inscription: כתר תורה ! Crown of Torah!

A bud in the shape of a flower is mounted over the crescent and is decorated by a Star of David.

The dedicatory inscriptions are engraved in outline letters and read :

Side A.: לעילוי##נשמת##שרה בת##ישראל##שנפטרה יום א!ש )א שבת( ט!ז חשוון תשכ!א לעיר יולטאן !

For the exaltation##of the soul##of Sarah daughter##of Israel##who passed away on Sunday, 16th of Heshvan (5)721 (1961) in the city of Yultan!

Side B.: לעילוי##נשמת## יעקב בר )בן רבי(##רחמים##תנצבה##שנפטר יום ה!ש )ה שבת( י!ז סיון תשכא לעיר יולטאן !

For the exaltation##of the soul##of Jacob son of Rabbi (initial letters)may his soul be bound up in the bond of life##who passed away on Thursday, 17th of Sivan (5)721 (1961) in the city of Yultan!
