Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah coronet, Modena, 1818-1872
The coronet is made of silver and consists of a base and a wreath.
The base is round and it bears a reliefed decoration of three vertical oval medallions alternated to a horizontal one.
Each horizontal medallion bears part of a dedicatory inscription. A floriate pattern decorates the space between the medallions. The base is encircled within two protruding rings.
The wreath is round and is divided into six vertical units bearing the same decoration: a central big acanthus leaf surrounded by various floriate patterns. The decorative units are separated by an elongated stem supporting a palmette.
The wreath has a weavy upper border.
The dedicatory inscription which appears in the horizontal medallions is engraved in two lines and reads:
