Sacred and Ritual Objects Kiddush cup
The Silver goblet consists of a base, a shaft and a body.
The base is square,it is round at its center ,raised and decorated with a wide streap of diagonal lines.
The shaft is undulating and has a faceted threaded like middle part.At its top a half round thread. The cylindrical body is widening towards the rim which is curved outwards.
The body is decorated in vegetal patern,underneath it vaulted arches bearing intermittently a dedicatory inscription and vegetal decoration.The inscription is in sqare filled letters and reads:
"בן שרה ריי דר)?( יתן שע אלי עיר"
"The son of Sarah rei dar will give sah my god a city"
