Sacred and Ritual Objects Hanukkah lamp
The standing bench Hanukah lamp is made of brass and consists of a row of oil containers, a drip tray, a back and four legs. A row of eight vase shape oil containers is attached to a rectangular base and to a lower part which is folded to a form of a drip tray with protrunding front corners. Each oil container has a cilindrical twine tube. The round arched openworked back wall decoration consists of a central medalion which bear in it a shape of Star which bear in it a flower. The four petals of the flower decorated with a Star of David. Between the four petals of the flower ther are four leafs and a thin band between them. Every arm of the star decorated with small lines. between the arms ther is a foliet patern. Araund the medalion stylized branches bear flower and leaves emerging symmetricaly from its bottom. the centre of the flower decorated with a Star of David. Two women profiles facing each other surmaunting the star. the two profiles are framed by a scroll which integrated within the branches. The upper part of the back wall bears a foliate pattern. a hook attached to the back wall through which the Shamash was conected.
