Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah mantle, Hungary, 1930
The Torah^mantle is made of velvet.
The rectangular cloth cloak is made of three parts and is attached at the upper border, leaving two openings for Torah Scroll rods. It opens in its lower part on both sides. The cloth bears a dedicatory inscription and an embroidery decoration of a Torah^crown~ supported by two rampant lions turning outwards. The lions stand on columns decorated with foliate pattern and their bases bear a Star^of^David. An inscription appears on both sides of the Torah crown, and reads: כ' ת' "Crown of Torah (int.)" The dedicatory inscription is embroidered in outline letters and reads:

"This was donated (int.)##in memory of the soul of##Meir son of Abraham##Spiegel, may he rest in peace##by his daughter and sons##(5)690=(1930)"
