Description

The monument is located at the mass grave of Holocaust victims, whose remains were reinterred at the Zhovkva municipal cemetery. It consists of an obelisk with two black stone plaques. The upper plaque features a Menorah, while the lower plaque displays a Magen David, two candles, and inscriptions, one of which is in Hebrew. The obelisk stands atop a stepped base and is surrounded by chains attached to pillars.

Translation: Honor to the Martyrs from the Zhovkva ghetto. May their souls be bound in the bundle of life

Ukrainian:

Тут перезахоронені останки громадян
єврейської національності м. Жовкви
жертви геноциду фашистської гітле-
рівської Німеччини, розстріляні при
ліквідації гетто 25.03.1943 р.

Translation: Here are reburied remains of the citizens of Jewish nationality of the city of Zhovkva, Victims of the genocide of the fascist Hitler's Germany, shot to death during the liquidation of the ghetto on March 25, 1943.
