  Torah case wrapper, 1916

The rectangular purple Torah case wrapper is divided to three vertical sections. The central section bears a dedicatory inscription whithin a gate which is decorated with foliat and floral scrolls. Above the arch it reads: "קדש לה" "Dedicated to the Lord" below the gate, flanks a crown like pattern, it reads: "כתר תורה" "Torah Crown". In horizontal lines, from right to left it reads: "מפה מפוארה לכבוד ס')ספר( התורה##נדבת היקר החשוב פרג' נקאש##ואשתו ובנו השוט דוד נקאש ובניו##רחמים עתאלי נע)נוחו עדן( אסתיר עתאלי ובנה דניאל נקאש לען)לעילו נשמת( העלוב## נפל שדוד במלחמה גבריאל##נלבע)נפטר לבית עולמו( יו תשרי ש)שנת(תרעו##תנצבה)תהי נשמתו צרורה בצרור החיים(". "Splendid Cover for the honour of the Torha scroll, a donation of the dear and important Farag Nakash and his wife and son Hashut David and his sons Rahamim Ataly, may he rest in Eden, Astir Ataly and her son Daniel for the exaltation of the humble who fell down dead in the war, Gavriel Nakash passed away on 16 of Tishrei the year of (5)676 (1916), may his soul be bound up in the bond of life". The central section is flanked on both sides by indentify decoration: A central axle of flowers and leaves, surmounted by a bird and flanked simetricaly by floral and foliat scrolls, is emerged from a vase. The emerging scrolls are flanked on the right side by two leaves. Two bands with frings and sequins are attached to the wrapper's upper part. A band with frings is attached to the lower border of the wrpaper. 17 loops to hang the wrapper are attached to its upper border .
