Jews from Kam'ianets-Podil's'kyi and "Hungarian Jews" from Carpatho-Rus, murdered at this site

Description:

The killing site is a large fenced rectangle, where four monuments stand.

The old monument is an obelisk standing on a base stylized as a pile of stones. It bears a Russian inscription on its front and two Yiddish inscriptions in Soviet orthography on two sides. The inscriptions are similar to those on the monument in the Jewish cemetery of Kam'ianets-Podil's'kyi. Mistakes in the Russian inscription testify that the maker of the monument was Jewish.

On its eastern side, a monument to Hungarian Jews stands:

Translation: Eternal memory to fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters, children, and grandchildren, brutally tormented [to death] on the fifth day of the month of Elul, August 1941 by German-Fascist monsters.

On the eastern facet, in Yiddish in Soviet orthography:

אונ מאמעס ברידער אונ שוועסטער

אומשולדיגע קרבנות וואס
יה זענט געפאלענ פונ די
 די בלוטיגע דייטשישע פאשיסטישע-הענט

Translation: Their souls bound in the bundle of life. Here are the holy graves of / our dear and beloved fathers and momes, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, children and friends. We swear that generations will never forget innocent victims who fell by bloody German Fascist hands in the year 1941.

Translation: Yorzeit on the fifth day of Elel [5]701, 1941.
