The brass Torah pointer consists of a bar,a pointer and a hanger. The bar is devided into an upper and lower part. The twisted upper part terminates with a round ball,surmounted by a loop hanger through which a chain is inserted. The rectangular lower part terminates with a pointer in a shape of a clenched hand with a straight index finger. The lower part bears a dedicatory inscription in square linear letters, which reads from the upper part towards the pointer: On one side:
"משה הקדש לקק )לקהילה קדושה( בית הלל יב"ץ )יראו בנחמת ציון( לע"נ )לעילוי נשמת( הנפטר כלעור שנים יאורה טילייאק ו' ששכונה"
"Moses,dedicated to the Holy Community,School of Hillel...for the exaltation of the soul of the passed away..."
