The torah^case is made of wood and consists of a body and a crown.## The body is cylindrical and covered by violet velvet attached by nails. The body is decorated with two rows of nail pattern, which consist of Sta rs^of^David and circles. Between the two rows is a nailed inscription, and reads: תורה צוה לנו % משה מ'ק'י !Deut.33:4! A velvet covered crenelation encircles the upper borders. The case is closed by two pairs of hook clasps. The inner face of the case is covered with cotton decorated with sqares in blue, green, red and white. The dome shaped crown is composed of a main section and a crest. The main section is covered with violet velvet, and decorated with nail pattern. The undulating wood crest is mounted over the crown. It is painted in silver. Two rimon mounts are fixed on the crown. ##The inner face of the crown is covered by a white paper covered by glass. It bears a dedicatory iscription and is framed by flowers in red and blue. The dedicatory inscription is written in blue and red filled letters, and reads: וזאת ## התורה אשר ## שם משה לפני ## בני ישראל אלה ## החוקים והמשפ! ## והתורת א! נתן ה! !Deut.4:44! followed by !These are the statutes and the judgments and the laws, which the Lord made!part of Lev.26:46 The dedicatory inscription, continues on the left, and reads: תיק ## זה וסת )וספר תורה שבו( למנו! )למנוחת( האשה ## המ! )המרת( קמג בת ## רחל נע )נוחה עדן( תנצבה )תהי נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים( ## בשנת התרמב This case ## and the Torah scroll (int.) for the repose of (int.) the woman## Mrs Kamag daughter of ## Rachel, msy she rest in Eden (int.), mey her soul be bound up in the bond of life (int.)## the year 5642=1882!
