  Sacred and Ritual Torah pointer, Turkey, 1931
The brass Torah pointer consists of a bar,a pointer and a hanger. The bar is divided into an upper and lower part. The twisted upper part terminates with a Star of David surmounted by a loop hanger, bears an inscription in square linear letters and reads:
On the front side: "ציון" "Zion" On the back side: "12 אב 196" "21 Av 691 (1931)"
The rectangular lower part terminates with a pointer in a shape of a clenched hand with a straight index finger. The back of the hand bears the initial: "ה" The lower part bears a dedicatory inscription in square linear letters, which reads from the upper part towards the pointer,on the front side:
"הק' )הקדש( לק"ק )לקהילה קדושה( בית הלל ממני דוד מולכו מ' לע"נ )לעילוי נשמת( מ' )מרת( פירלה מ"ב )מנשים באוהל("
"Dedicated to the Holy Community,School of Hillel from me David Molcho ...for the exaltation of the soul of Mrs. Pearlah blessed shall she be above woman in the tent (Judg. 5:24)"
