The rectangular Parokhet is comprised of a cloth and a small rectangular core bearing a dedicatory inscription at the top half. An elliptical unit comprised of flowers is at the center of the cloth below the core.
The inscription is arranged in five lines written in square filled letters, and reads:
"קדש לה'/מאת מורדכי אברהם ג'יראסי לעלוי נשמת אשתו/מרת סולטאנה קלארה לבית בורלא שנפטרה/בקצור ימים ושנים בליל שבת בי" מנחם אב תש"ד/ת'נ'צ'ב'ה' (תהיה נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים)"
Dedicated to the Lord, by Mordecai Abraham Girasi for the exaltation of the soul of his wife Mrs. Sultana Clara from the house of Burla who passed away with days and years cut off, on Saturday evening 21st in the month of (Menahem) Av (5)704 (9.9.1944), may her soul be bound up in the bond of life.
The elliptical unit comprises eight wreathes of flowers pointing outwards. Each wreath is composed of a whorl of leaves from which radiate three stems with leaves and buds. An interlacing floral motif appears at the center. Similar wreaths that face towards the center are in each one of the corners of the cloth.
Fleur de lys with scroll shaped stems are spread around the cloth.
The cloth is framed by an interlacing branch with leaves.
The cloth is a secondary use, before it was a bed cover.
