The silver torah pointer consists of a bar and a pointer.## The bar is divided into an upper arm and a forearm. ## The upper arm is flat and decorated with rectangles and squares. The forearm is flat and tapering. On one side it has a geometric frame and bears a dedicatory inscription. The forearm terminates with a clenched hand and a straight index finger. The dedicatory inscription on the forearm is engraved in linear zigzag letters, and reads towards the pointer, and reads: קל"ה )קודש לה'( ## נדבת ציון בושרי היו) ה' יחיהו ויזכהו( ל ע"נ )לעילוי נשמת( הבחור ## אליהו בן אסתר ז"ל שנהרג בקיו )בקיצור ימים ושנים( ## כז אייר תש"ח ת'נ'צ'ב'ה' )תהי נשמתו צרורה בצרור החיים( " Dedicated to the Lord (int.)## a donation of Zion Busheri may the Lord sustain him and grant him favour (int.) in the memory of the soul (int.) of the youth ## Elijah son of Esther of blessed memory (int.), who was killed with days and years cut off (int.) 26th of Iyar (5)708=1948 may his soul be bound up in the bond of life(int.)"
