The ten-faceted wooden Torah case consists of a body and a crown.##The case opens into two halves in the middle of the front facet. The back facet is devided into two halves by three pairs of hinges.
Each facet is covered with a single panel and all of them are bound to the case by ten thin vertical strips, one between each facet. Two horizontal strips circumscribe the body, deviding it into three areas of decoration. The strips
bear floral segments in the middle of every facet. Each flower is decorated with a nail.##A decorative band with a palmette design surrounds the top and the bottom of the case. The body is devided into three wide horizontal bands.
The middle band is coloured in red and decorated with a vertical cartouche repeated on each facet. It is composed of five flowers, where one is in the center. On the top and on the bottom two more flowers surmount the main group. The
whole design is framed by a contour. A decorative nails surround the cartouche. An additional floral segments appear in the corners of each panel. The outer bands are coloured in green and have similar decoration, composed of three
flowers one under enother with the largest in the middle.##A dedicatory inscription, composed of parts of Biblical frases is settled on two ogee-shaped panels, situated on both sides of the opening.
An inscription goes from the right panel to the left and in filled square letters reads:
"אלה##החקים וה)-(##משפטים ##והתורות אשר##נתן יו"י)השם( בינו ובין##בני ישראל##בהר סיני, )ויקרא, כו:מו( זכרו##
תורת משה עבד)י(##אשר צויתי א"ב)אותו בחורב )מלאכי, ג:22(##נכתב בתשרי##שנת תרכ"ח לפ"ק##
"זה##התיק וספר##תורה שבו אשר##הקדיש ה"כ רפואה##בן ה"מ)המנוח( כ"ד אדאד##לעילוי נשמת אחיו##המאליה רופא נ"ע)נוחו עדן(##בן המ')מנוח( כ"ד אדאד##
ת'נ'צ'ב'ה)תהה נשמתו צרורה בצרור החיים( י"ר)יהי רצון( שיזכו##הוא ובניו לקייים##כל מצות ה"ת"וה"ס)הלכות תורה והלכות ?(##מ"עוע)מעתה ועד עולם( כיר"א)כן יהי רצון אמן("
"These are the statutes and judgements and laws, which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai (Leviticus 26:46)
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb (Malachi 4:4), inscribed in Tishrei in the year (5)628 (1868)."
"This Iorah case and Torah scroll inside is dedicated by the honored Adad son of the late (?) Adad, for the exaltation of the soul of his brother Hamalia Rofe, may he rest in Eden, son of the late (?) Adad
may his soul be bound up in the bond of life, may it be His will that he and his sons will have privilege to approve all the commandments of the Torah now and ever more, may it be His will."
The case is closed by a single clasp. ##The crown is onion shaped with three staves for finials on each side. The crown tapers with the top and is surmounted by onion shaped apex.##The head is covered
with ten panels, each of them decorated by laid on paisley, surrounded by nails.##The inner face of the crown beares a dedicatory inscription. It goes from the right half of the crown
to the left and in filled square letters reads:
"אלה ##החקים והמשפטי)ם(##והתורות אשר צוה##יוי את משה אל##בני ישראל בהר סיני## נכתב לוח זה חודש##תשרי שנת תרכח לפ"ק)פרט קטן(##
זאת##התיק וס"ת )ספר תורה( אשר##קידשו ליי')השם( הב')?( )הבחור?(הגביר##
רפואה בן כ"ר אדאד## נ"ע)נוחו עדן( לעילוי נשמת##אחיו אאליה רופא##נ"ע)נוחו עדן(י"ר ) (שיקים כל מצותה"

This plaque is inscribed in Tishrei in the year (5)628 (1868)."
This Torah case and Torah scroll is dedicated for the Lord by the the honored,the man of substance Refua, son of (?) Adad,may he rest in Eden, for the exaltation of the soul of his brother Aalia(?) Rofe, may he rest in Eden, may it be
His will that he approve all the commandments of the Torah."
## The inscription is placed in the middle in an ogee frames, and is surrounded by inscriptions which are written in different directions with in square panels.
Identical on both plaques they start from above and go down to the sides and read:
