There are four hallmarks on the lower part of the shaft, body and apex of the object. ##1. Cyrillic initials "A.S" (in lat.) surmounting the date 1886, assayer hallmark of Smirnov Alexander Alekseevich active 1878-1895 cf. Postnikova- Losseva, p.205,no.2115 ##2. The initials "O.H" in a rectangular frame cut at the edges, can either be cyrillic or latin, in cyrillic "O.H", in lat. "O.N". ##3. St. George killing the dragon, Moscow city mark, cf. Postnikova-Losseva similar to p.203, no.2022 ##4. The cypher 84 in a square frame, Russian quality mark 18-19th c. cf. Postnikova-Losseva, p.148, no.12
