There are three hallmarks located on the lower joint. 1. St. Petersberg authority hallmark. Uses the city hallmark of two crossed anchors and a scepter in an oval frame 2. Figure "84" in a square frame-Russian quality mark in the 18th-19th centuries. Was used in all territory of the Empire including Polalnd. cf. Postuikova-Losseva, M., 1983. p. 148, no. 12. cf. Lileyko p. 88. 3. The hallmark depicts the cyrillic initials M.K. (M.K.) surmounting the cyphre 1826. Assay mark of Mikhail Karpinski of St. Petersburg, active 1825-1838(?). cf. similar to Postnikova-Losseva, p. 178, no. 1165.
