The following description was prepared by William Gross:
This book, Sefer ha-Shemot", is a book of Kabbalah with "names", descriptions of the angels, and graphic illustrations for amulets. It is essentially a copy of the famous book "Shorashei ha-Shemot" by Zacuto. In this example, there are also illustrations of Kabbalistic diagrams such as the 10 Sefirot before the text begins. The book is arranged according to the alphabet of the names. This rare version originates in Jerusalem in the middle of the 19th century when there were only a few thousand Jews in the city. In the Gross Family collections are some other versions of this famous treatise from other parts of the world. This is another of several copies in the Gross Family Collection of the work by Moshe Zacuto with additions added over the years.
