The young, crowned Joseph, holding a golden sceptre and wearing a sword with a golden hilt riding a white horse with a golden harness. He is followed by a groom and preceded by a herald blowing a trumpet. In the background is a castle (Egypt?).
Inscribed above Joseph:
במרכבת המשנה רכב בכל אורך
ויקראו לפניו נתון ואברך
“In the chariot of the viceroy he rode all over (the land), and they cried before him: ‘naton’ (‘set him ruler over all the land’) and ‘avrekh’ (‘bow the knee’) (≠ Gen. 41:43).”
