The following description was prepared by William Gross:

This hand-drawn and colored decoration for the succah may well have served as the original for an engraving, of which two recorded copies exist as in the fragmentary gross 038.011.012. A complete copy exists in the collection of the Jewish theological seminary.

This elegant 18th-century creation has at the top a depiction of a succah set in a formal garden with servants waiting to serve the holiday meal.

A similar succah illustration is found in the Minhagim book published in Amsterdam in 1768. this decoration is signed at the bottom. The image of Sukkah is very close to one depicted in Minhagim by Shimon Levy Ginsburg, Amsterdam, 1768.
