The Torah^case is made of wood .

The body is cylindrical and covered with blue velvet . It has two clasps. Golden ribbons are attached to the borders of the case by round-topped nails. A rectangular parchment bearing a dedicatory inscription and framed by ribbons is attached to the upper left side of the body. The top of the Torah^case is plain with two staves and two Rimon mounts.

A dedicatory inscription appears in fifteen horizontal lines and one arched line. It is written in black outline letters, and reads:

עמ!י )עזרי מעם ה'(..עש!וא )עושה שמים וארץ(##כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר ה' מיורשלים##וזאת##התורה אשר שם##משה לפני בני ישראל##תורה צוה לנו משה מו!קי )מורשה קהילת יעקב( וזאת התורה שהובא מעיה!ק ירושלים##בהשתדלות מו' חייא אברהם יוביג)-?(##שהקדישוה לעילוי נשמת המרוחמת##מרת אייכאן בת מו' אברהם שולטי נ!ע )נשמתו עדן(##נפטרה כ!ג מנחם ה'תר!ע תנצב!ה יה'ר )יהי רצון( שתשכון נשמתה בג!ע )בגן עדן( עם נש' אמהות##והמשתדלים במצוה זו יהיה שכרם##כפול מן השמים בבנים ובנות ועושר וכו'##אמן יצא לאור עולם חדש אלול ה'ת'ר'ע##ליצירה נכתב ע!י הסופר מו' נסים סג'ירה (Ps. 121:2,[int.])

followed by !...for out of Zion shall go forth the law,and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Jesaia 2:3)##followed by Deut. 4:44 and Deut. 33:4 And this Torah was brought from the Holy City (int.), Jerusalem##through the good offices of Mullah (int.) Hiya Avraham Yubig(-?),##who dedicated it for the exaltation of the soul of Mrs. Aykhan, who has mercy, daughter of Mullah (int.) Avraham Shulti, may he rest in Eden (int.)##who passed away in 23rd of Av 5670 (1910), may her soul be bound up in the bond of life (int.), may it be His will (int.) May her soul rest in Eden with the souls of the Mothers##and through the offices of this Mizvah, may they will grant##from Heaven twice in sons and daughters, and wealth, etc.##Amen, ------------Elul, 5670 (1910) Written by the writer Mullah (int.) Nisim Sagirah!
