The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a crown. ##The cylindrical body is covered with blue velvet. Silver cartouches,each decorated with a vase and flowers, are nailed to the body intercalated between them in horzontal rows. Silver bands, bearing dedicatory inscription, encircle the upper and lower borders. It start from the left side and encircled the body, it is chased in square and filled letters. The upper inscription reads: !תיק זה וספר תורה שבו למנוחת המ']נוחה[ האשה חביבה בת יוסף נ!ע)נוחתה עדן( נפ')נפטרה( יום ג' א' אייר התרפ!ז! !This case and the Torah book inside for the repose of Mrs. Haviva dother of Yosef may she rest in Eden passed away on 3.6.1927!. The lower inscription reads: !על מנת בכל מקום שירצו בעלי הסת')=הספר תורה( להוציאו ולהניחו למקומות אחרים הרשות בידם ובכ' )ובכוחם(.! !If the owners of the Tora Scroll wish to transfer it to other places they or their representative may do so!. The case has two hook clasps at the front and hinges at the back. The inner face of the body is covered with floral pattern on cotton. There are two round holes for the staves at the top of the case. The onion-shaped crown is composed of a main section, a crest and an apex.## The main section is covered with blue velvet and the same silver cartouches identical to those of the body. The silver crest is undulating and consists of a conical lower part decorated with vertical baeds and altern ating floral and blank , and a globular upper part decorated by petals on the top. chains with beads are attached to the globular section. The crest is surmounted by a bud like apex.Two rimon mounts are fixed on the top of the case. The inner face of the crown is covered by red corderoy and a painted paper,coverd by glass. It bears two dedicatory inscriptions framed by pointed arches.They are flanked by two floral motives. The inscriptions are written in six lines in black and filled letters.The inscription on the right reads: !וזאת התורה אשר שם משה לפני בני ישראל תיק זה וס!ת )וספר תורה( שבו למנוחת! !And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel This Torah case and the Torah scroll in it for the repose! The dedicatory inscription continues on the left and reads: !המ']נוחה[ האשה חביבה בת יוסף נ!ע ]נוחתה עדן[ נפטרת יום ג' א' לח!ו]דש[ אייר שנת התרפ!ז !. !Mrs. the woman Hviva dother of josef may she rest in Eden Passed away at 3.6.1927 . the 1 of Iyyar year 5710$1(3.6.1927).! Paper bands below the plaques bear an inscription in red square filled letters on yellow paper. The inscription in the right reads: ! תורה צוה לנו משה !. !Moses command us a law,(Deut.33:4)!.## The inscription continues in the left and reads: !מורשה קהלת יעקב! !In heritance of the congregation of Jacob.(Deut.33:4)!
