The medallion bears a depiction of the tablets of the law in the center bearing the inscription:

"One law will be for all of us"

This is similar to a sentence from Lev.24:22 "ye shall have one manner of law..". The tables are supported by an altar bearing a round medallion with the depiction of a male head in profile facing left flanked by the inscription:

"Franz Joseph I".

The medallion is supported by a double headed eagle with spread wings holding a sword in one claw and a round ball surmounted by a cross in the other claw. The altar is flanked by a woman in a robe on the left. She is wearing a crown on her head and is holding an open scroll in her hands. The inscription on the scroll reads:

"One G-d?/one nation".

There is a cornucopia at her feet with flowers inside it an inscription next to the cornucopia reads:

"Desaide Boquelay".

A naked boy stands on the other side of the altar. He is holding a bouqet of flowers in one hand and a branch in the other. He has a waving piece of material flowing between his legs. The inscription around the top of the medallion reads:

"Die Israeliten deines ganzen Reichs sie bauen einen Altar in ihrem Hertzen/Ein euriges Denkmal ihrer Dankbarkeit"

The inscription under the depictions reads:

" Zur Erinnerung an die durch seine Majestaet/Den Kaiser Franz Joseph I/Der isr?...ttes in ganzen gesterreichischen/?/MDCCCLX".

The flip side of the coin bears inscriptions which read:

"Kaiserliche Verordnung/

A small inscription on the right reads:

"Ch. Krauss.III."

and another small inscription on the left reads:

"Pr.Cheidan.Del.(Vienne)".

The case that holds the medallion bears a depiction of the Star of David within a round medallion surmounted by a crown and flanked by two lions rampant and a floral scroll underneath. The star of David bears an inscription within which reads:

"This memory will be as a sign for a covenant forever amen".

An additional inscription is inscribed around the inside of the inside of the medallion. The inscription reads:

"Made and finished well for the city of the holy community in the year of i will resurrect my covenant between me and you".

An inscription inside the lid reads:

"Geuridmet/Der Ehrsamen/Isr:Cultus-Gemeinde/in/Pilsen".
