Who is Commemorated?

The victims of Fascism killed in Paneriai.

Description:

The obelisk is situated on a hill in the western part of the memorial complex.

The obelisk is made of granite blocks and topped by a five-pointed star in a wreath. The base of the obelisk is situated on a granite pedestal, which is surrounded by small piers connected by a chain.

On the front side of the base, a plaque bears identical inscriptions in Lithuanian and Russian. On the three other sides of the base are metal garlands. A similar garland surrounds the lower edge of the obelisk, just above the base.

Translation: To the victims of Fascist terror, 1941–1944
