The following description was prepared by William Gross:
This is a fascinating Ketubah from Calcutta, showing a large variety of symbols in use in India, including birds, animals and plant life. One of the most unusual illustrations is the representation of a brahma bull at the bottom left side of the Ketubah. In the center is a ship with a fish drawn at both the right and the left. This wedding took place on December 23, 1923 (15 Tevet 5684).
Bride: Dina Bat Mordechai Avraham Nissim Katan
Groom: Yechezkel Ezra Ben Ya'akov Yechezkel
