Summary and Remarks
According to the museum card the object is of German, Bavarian origin and dates from 1765. The Torah binder notes that the painter made a mistake in writing the hebrew months, and replaced the letter Dalet which would spell the month Adar with two yods thus spelling the month of Iyar, which is the incorrect month.
