The silver Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a semi circular arch. A plaque bearing an inscription is depicted in the center, it is written in full square letters and reads: "זה הציץ##שייך לבית##הכנסת מעיר## ישן בוק"ק##חמעלנק". "This Torah shield belongs to the synagogue in the old city in the Holy community of Chmeilnik." An additional inscription is written at the plaque's sides, and reads: "זה הציץ נ')נדבת(##ר' העניק הלוי למזכרת נשמתו". "This Torah shield is the donation of Rabbi Henikh Halevi to the memory of his soul". Two rampant lions,facing backwards and revealing their tongue hold the plaque.It is surmounted by a vase of flowers ,fruit and flanked by a pair of birds. Two symmetrical pillars with square bases decorated with branches and topped by vegetal capitals are depicted at the sides. The Torah shield is surrounded by an internal raised line with wavy edges.
