The silver Torah shield is square and terminates with a semicircular arch. It consists of a plate. In the center of the plaque framed by a solid band are the Tablets of the Covenant, inscribed with the first words of the ten commandments, five in each side. Between them is a rectanangular plaque which depicts in its center a rabbit feeding on foliage. Below is a potted plant and above is an inscription which reads:

"שבת##קדש"## "Shabat Qodesh" (holy Sabbath)

Flanking the commandments are two square based columns entwined in a floral vine, topped by a coronet. A semicircular arch connects the columns and is superimposed by a surmounting crown bearing floral and geometric designs. Two potted plants flank the shield. A leaf is located in each of the shields four corners A symmetrical foliate scroll fills the arch. It is topped by a round bud. A solid band frames the shield. The frame of the arch echoes the arch in the composition with an added outer edge of an openwork scalloped foliate scroll.
