The silver Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a semi circular arch. The Tables of the Covenant are depicted in the centre, and are inscribed with the opening words of the Decalogue. They are flanked by a rampant lion and a griffon,facing backwards and revealing their tongues.
The Tables are surmounted by a crown decorated with flowers and topped by an eagle. The upper part is surrounded by vine leaves and grapes.
The lower part depicts a medallion encircled with leaf scrolls. It is inscribed
זה הציץ שיך / לחבורה אמת
The Torah shield is framed by flat and blank edges. Two rings are attached to the backside and bear a chain.
