The silver Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a triangular head. It consists of a plate. The decoration is set symmetricaly within a architectural facade of two storyes. The lower storey depicts in its center a bird stands on a basket of fruit and leavs, picking the fruit, within a window shaped frame. On the columns is a pattern of twisted scroll and each column is flanked by a vase from which emerges a stem of flowers and leavs. A pair of birds support each of the vases. At the central lower part of the shield is a band composed of foliate scrolls intertwined with a hare a dog and birds. In the upper storey, mount on the cornice are two open-winged birds that face each other. Between the birds two rampant regardant lions stand on the capitals of the columns. The lions which have elevated tails, support with one leg a central crown decorated with flour-de-lis motif. The crown is surmounted by a pointed leaf that topped the shield and which is flanked by two birds facing backwards. A ring is attached to two loops that attached to the back side of the shield.
