The Silver Torah finial consists of a shaft, a body, a head and an apex. The shaft is faceted and is supported by an undulating round raised base. The base bears two strips the bottom of which is decorated with a branch with folliate scrolls and the top of which is decorated with acanthus leaves radiating from the center. The edges of the base are scalloped and decorated with a scroll. The six faceted shaft surmounts a unit composed of slices, topped by widening leaves that radiate outwards. Each facet on the shaft is decorated with a folliate scroll alternately in openwork fixed on gilded plaques and nielo. The facets are surrounded by gilded frames. The shaft is surmounted by a unit that is decorated with branches. The body is a fence like square. It is decorated horizontally with scrolls and lilies at their edge. Within the center of the body is a crown with a tiny globular apex that stands on a cylindrical shaft. Four rampant regardant winged lions emerge from the fence corners and support a crown shaped head which stands on a floral circlet bearing bells. The crown has six arms and is decorated with a foliate motif. A bird shaped apex surmounts the crown and stands on a floral circlet holding a bell shaped flower in its beak.
