The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a coronet.##The body has twelve facets. The body is made of plain wood.Two pairs of round annulets encircle the upper and lower borders of the body. Two friezes are attached to the upper and lower borders. Ivory and wooden buttons are attached to the upper border. Pointed arched shaped silver plaques are attached to the centre of the caseopening. They are decorated on top with flowers and branches and bear a dedicatory inscription. The inner face is plain wood. The hollow has a rectangular hand holders.The hollow top is decorated with openwork foliage pattern. Two insert holes for the rods are at top of the case.Two rimon mounts are fixed on top of the case. The coronet is faceted. Each of the twelve facets is decorated with openwork of lilies within double arched pattern. Two identical dedicatory inscriptions engraved in six lines read: ! זה ספר התורה ## של היקר כה!ר ## כליפה סאסי ## יצ!ו קנה אותו ## בחודש אדר ## שנת תרפ!ו! ! This is the Torah book ## Of the precious the honourable Rabbi ## KhalifaSassi ## Was baught by the Honest,rightous and faithful ## at the mounth Adar ## At the year 686 (1926).!
