The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a coronet.##The body has ten facets. Eleven wooden knobs for hanging the Torah case wrapper encircle the upper border. An ogee arch like silver plaque is attached at both sides of the case's opening bearing a dedicatory inscription. Underneath is a hooked closure with cut-out floral base. The inner face is plain wood. The hollow bottom has an oval hand holders and three round holes. The hollow top is decorated with five arched holes. Two rods are at top of the case. The coronet is faceted. Each of the ten facets is decorated with symmetrical openwork of floral pattern. The dedicatory inscription is engraved. The lines are to be read horizontally and read: וזאת התורה##יקרה מפוארה##אשר פעל## הגבר הוקם על## רחמים ן! דאוד## ואישתו סעידה##למען תהיה לו##צדה לדרך לו##לזכות בו##כי בא יבוא##לעולם הבא## אשרי מי שבא##נון בשנת##התרפג לפרק !This is the beautiful and dear Torah that ... Rachamim N(?) Daoud and his wife Saida## so that he will have nourishment for his journey,## for his merit, because he is coming## to the world to come !Happy is he that comes## ...##... in the year## 5683 =(1923)! Painted on the front facet is the name ששי
