The Copper Laver consists of a body and two handles. The round body has straight bottom and its edge is widening outwards. The two flat handles are placed close together. It is decorated in the centre from right to left: a bunch of grapes; a candlestick with a candle with a flame; two fishes (the upper looking left, the lower looking right) and three Star of David above. on both sides of the central Star of David is written:
"כשר")מצד ימין( "לפסח" )מצד שמאל( "kosher" (on the right) "for Passover" (on the left).
Below there is a band divided into sections. each one bearing inscription (from right to left):
" ראובן; לוי שמעון; יהודה; יששכר; זבולון; בנימין; דן; נפתלי; גד; אאר; מנחם; אפרים"
