Fol. 53: The initial word for (המלך (היושב (Oh King (who is sitting)), opening the morning service for the second day of the New Year, is written by scribe A in dark brown ink in large display letters (stem height30 mm;
4 lines) and decorated with small circles in the stems of the letters. On the left is a red flowering tree with roots, and three dragons, red, green and black, are gnawing at the thorns on its trunk.
Two acrostics in the text of a poem make up the names Isaac and Rebecca in red and green respectively, emphasised by diagonal rows of dots. Such marking is typical for Biblical figures (cf. fol. 1v).
