Material / Technique
The limestone tesserae are arranged in curved lines to form the shape and shading of the bull. One to two lines
of background tesserae surround the bull and one or two lines follow the medallion frame. The density per 10cm2
is not uniform. The density is 10x12 for the bull's head and 10x10 for the bull's body, with a still lower density of 8x9
for the background. The colors of the tesserae are off-white, white, black, grey, brown, dark and light ochre.
