The pewter Seder plate is round, with a raised rim. The central decoration depicts the Biblical story of Moses found in the river. Pharaoh's daughter, crowned and holding a scepter, stands flanked by two maidens on the riverbank. Another maiden kneels down and raises up the swaddled baby from the open ark. On the earth are water plants, and a Fir tree is depicted on the other bank of the river. In the background is a depiction of the city's walls and buildings, a bridge over the river, and mountains. Around the rim is an inscription. In square-filled letters, it reads:
"וישמע יי את קלנו...(דברים, כו:7) כמו שנאמר וישמע אלהים את נאקתם ויזכר אלהים... (שמות, ב:כד)".
"And the Lord heard our voice...(Deut. 26:7). As it is said: And God heard their groaning, and God remember ...(Ex. 2:24)."
The letters: 'I&CL' are inscribed in the center of the lower rim; they probably refer to the plate's owner's name.
